Proposed Amendment to Local Constitution Focus of May 15 meeting.

The Executive Committee voted to suspend the rules to allow the following change to the Constitution of Espanola NEA to be voted on by the membership at the meeting scheduled for May 15, 2012, 4-6pm, La Cocina (near new bridge)

New language is in bold and underlined and provides the option of having co-presidents. 
Constitution Article IV, section 1: The offices of the Association shall consist of a president or co-presidents as defined in the By-laws

Bylaws 3.1 Duties and Responsibilities President (co-president)  “the office of president may be held by an individual or two (2) individual members who run for office and serve as a team of co-presidents.”

Contingent on the passage of the amendments to the Constitution and By-laws, candidates will be nominated to serve vacant positions for E-NEA.  An election will then be held.
