Dear Brian and Friends of the Local

I have been keeping up with you on the internet and the board meetings you are attending. Thank you for keeping me and others informed. In reference to MSA summer institutes I tried fervently for six years to attended and was always refused. The first five attempts they (LANL) were offering something like $4,000.00 for this training. Last summer it had been reduced by half and if I am not mistaken it is $1,200.00 or so this year.

Personally I have given up on the politics of MSA. On June 15, of this summer I will be having an ankle fusion on my right foot. And what I found absurd was that Mr. Johnson wanted me to take the first two weeks or so of MSA in June and then the last week of this institute in July. I just couldn't as I had to prepare prior to my surgery and I believe this summer regardless of the stakeholders that my health is the priority. MSA will always be around, as the district, students and the politics that accompany it. The faces will change and hopefully the power struggle that the board has will eventually end.

I believe that I have too much dignity to fear administrative threats or retaliation and I feel beyond insulted when the board believes that I am misinformed. I know that I am here for the students and I am tired of that cliche being thrown around by the board and administration.

Maybe you could suggest to the Superintendent and the board to draft A PDSA to illustrate their theories and such. Because they will be demanding that we do the same.

In any event I will continue to serve in whatever capicity I am called upon and to support our local to help it become strong. Have a good and productive summer and I will be cheering you on as I recover. Hope to see you in August.
